---------------------------------------------------------------------- tkWorld Wes's Own Real Lazy Desktop Written By Wes Bailey bailey@phys.ksu.edu http://www.phys.ksu.edu/~bailey/tkWorld.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- INFORMATION ----------- For the most up to date information on tkWorld, check out the official website: http://www.phys.ksu.edu/~bailey/tkWorld.html REQUIREMENTS ------------ tkWorld requires Tcl7.6 and Tk4.2, or later versions. APPLICATIONS ------------ So far tkWorld has 4 applications: tkGrep ------ tkGrep is a Graphical User Interface to the Unix Grep command. It provides point and click access to Command Line Options, as well as a Toolbar for rapid execution of your grep command. The Log Window provides a scroll-able view of your results. After you are done debugging your grep command, click on the command Clipboard to paste the string into any application. tkREM ----- tkREM provides a Graphical User Interface for building Regular Expressions. The major modes (grep, Perl, Tcl, Python, Lex, Sed & Awk) have buttons with meta-characters as their label. Clicking on a button places the meta-characters in the Regular Expression entry. Copying the completed Expression to the Clipboard allows pasting into any application. tkLB ---- tkLB is the Help Viewer for all applications. It works just like any other HTML browser, except that it is smaller, and does not support all the tags in the HTML 3.2 standard. tkWinstall ---------- Tired of those crappy installation procedures which always seem to fail? tkWorld has taken installation to the next level in Unix with a GUI installer. Just specify where things are going to live, and click on the install button. It is that easy. What if you don't like tkWorld? Then just run the installer again, and click on the un-install button. Goodbye tkWorld! AVAILABILITY ------------ Download the latest version at the tkWorld website.
